Automotive Retail Skill Need Survey

Institute of the Motor Industry

CFE has been commissioned by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) to conduct its annual survey of employers from across the automotive retail industries in the UK. The research is being undertaken to:

  • ascertain the skills priorities of the sector;
  • update and benchmark employer awareness of the IMI; and
  • explore the impact of the recession on businesses in the sector.

The research will cover England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and will consist of a combination of qualitative and quantitative research techniques. The research will involve:

  • desk research
  • consultations with employers and providers
  • a survey of 1000 employers
