CFE was commissioned by Leap Ahead, the Lifelong Learning Network for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, to conduct a survey on businesses employing 5 or more staff, based within those areas served by its four higher education institutions and eight further education colleges. Conducted by telephone, the survey examined the extent and nature of demand for skills, and identified businesses’ preferred modes of delivery for training. The findings will provide fresh insight to members into businesses training needs and requirements and will help further refine Leap Ahead’s employer engagement strategy.
