Employment and Skills Boards

CFE has undertaken an independent review of the current and potential role of Employment and Skills Boards.

The research was supported by four government departments - Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR), Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills (DIUS) and the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) to provide a better understanding of the current landscape and inform thinking regarding the future of Employment and Skills Boards and their role in integrating the employment and skills agenda.

The report considers the policy and delivery implications for Employment and Skills Boards regarding the current landscape, governance arrangements, membership, focus of local partnerships, and funding issues.
