Evaluation of Action Based Task Groups
Skills for Sustainable Communities Lifelong Learning Network
CFE was commissioned by the Skills for Sustainable Communities Lifelong Learning Network (SSCLLLN) to undertake an independent evaluation of the four curriculum Action Based Task Groups (ABTGs) established and funded by the SSCLLN.
The evaluation had two central research objectives:
-
To describe and evaluate the ABTGs with reference to: membership, buy in, funding and added value
-
To compare and learn lessons from governance structures by drawing comparisons across the network’s groups to provide guidance for the network over the remainder of its lifespan
The evaluation comprised of:
-
Desk-based research including a review of all relevant documentation
-
Qualitative interviews with ABTG chairs and members of the SSCLLN core team
-
A quantitative online survey designed to capture the perceptions of a broader group of stakeholders, including: ABTG members, partner organisations, employers and regional stakeholders.
