CFE have been commissioned by Sport England to undertake an evaluation of three projects within their Places, People, Play Programme (PPP). The PPP Programme has been designed to deliver a mass participation sporting legacy from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the three ‘People’ projects within this are to inspire people to make sport happen at the local level. The projects being evaluated are Sport Makers, Club Leaders and a disability project, currently being shaped.
The aim of the overarching evaluation is to assess and report on the impacts of the three projects and provide an evidenced understanding of the processes and mechanisms by which the outcomes that they set out to achieve have been realised or not. The evaluation will create an understanding of what works, how and in what context and will provide evidence on value for money. For each project a different evaluation approach will be undertaken including the following methods: online surveys (including a longitudinal survey), consultations with delivery partners, literature and data reviews, depth interviews and case study development.
The evaluation will run from January 2012 through to March 2014. For more information, please contact Alexandra Michael.
