Project
Evaluation of the Team v Programme
v - Inspired

CFE have been commissioned by v, the National Young Volunteers' Service, to undertake an evaluation of the Team v Programme. The Team v Programme builds upon v’s history and experience in creating innovative and inspiring youth volunteering programmes for young people. In this context and using a new model, v and its programme partners (NIACE, the Charities Aid Foundation and the Rank Foundation) will support youth-led teams to deliver and lead positive social action in communities across England. Young people will be supported to become leaders of a team of youth volunteers. The Team v leaders will then deliver campaigns that are designed to tackle current key issues facing those communities.

The evaluation has been designed to move beyond the existing evidence base and incorporates innovative methods. The approach is designed to tackle the question of volunteering and community impact in a creative and compelling way that allows new voices to be heard and stories to be told by Team v leaders, volunteers and members of local communities.

The evaluation will focus on a number of key objectives which include:

  • The impact of the programme on Team v Leaders and volunteers.
  • The impact of the campaigns in the local communities.
  • Explore the potential role that youth leadership opportunities can play in tackling key social issues and transforming communities.
  • Measure the Social Return on Investment of the programme.
