CFE has been commissioned by the Lifelong Learning Network - Linking London to conduct a survey with employers in its catchment area, which includes 12 London boroughs.  A total of 300 businesses with 50 or more employees will take part in a telephone survey.

The objectives of the survey are:  

  • to identify the demand for high level skills training;
  • look at the nature of this demand; and
  • establish the market share of providers delivering the high level skills training.

Initial findings for the survey were provided to Linking London in December.

In addition to this, CFE also hosted a Training Quality Standard (TQS) workshop on the 28th November with Linking London’s partner institutions.  Both colleges and universities were invited to attend this workshop, which was a unique opportunity to learn more about the TQS and how it can be used to improve employer responsiveness.
