CFE was commissioned to undertake surveys for the West Midlands and Yorkshire and Humber regions to explore the demand for higher level skills.
The research objectives were to identify the extent of demand for higher level skills from businesses, assess the nature of such demand and establish the market share of providers delivering higher level skills to businesses in the region.
The research builds on the success of the work carried out in the East Midlands which informed the Known Unknowns report.
The research consisted of a quantitative telephone survey of over 430 businesses that employ more than 25 staff.
