The Learning and Skills Council commissioned CFE in 2006 to undertake research into industry-specific collaboration between learning providers. The resulting research report, Specialist Networks, was based upon extensive secondary research, in-depth interviews with 47 key stakeholders, online surveys of members of the CoVEs Specialist Development Groups, and case studies of six collaborative networks, produced through focus groups and follow-up interviews with providers. The report was submitted to the LSC in May 2007.
The report addressed such issues as: defining sector specialisation and provider collaboration; the benefits of specialisation and collaboration; the barriers and enablers of specialisation and collaboration; and the role of various stakeholders in this agenda.
The full report Specialist Networks can be found here.
