CFE provided support to the Leadership and Management Advisory Panel from 2006 to 2008.
The Leadership and Management Advisory Panel was established to offer strategic advice to Government Ministers, the Boards of Non-Departmental Public Bodies and other major agencies to improve the quality of leadership and management across the UK’s private, public and voluntary sectors.
CFE provided a secretariat role and acted in a facilitative capacity, supporting the development of the Panel’s wide programme of work.
CFE’s specific activities largely related to the advancement of workplan proposals including;
The final Panel meeting was held in June 2008 and was attended by David Lammy, Secretary of State for Skills and Chris Humphries, CEO of the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES).
CFE developed a Key Messages paper on behalf of the Panel members which outlined the Panel’s vision of inspirational leadership and effective management.
The Panel sees leadership skills at the core of unlocking the high skills, and high value added economy that the UK aspires to and at the meeting David Lammy gave his commitment to driving forward the Panel’s agenda, to be championed by the UKCES.
