Train to Gain
Learning and Skills Council (LSC)

CFE has provided support to the Learning and Skills Council's Train to Gain service specifically around the design and implementation of Train to Gain Skills Broker training and development since 2006.

Work to date has involved working in collaboration with the nine regional LSC areas, brokerage delivery organisations and other key stakeholders. More information about this work can be found in the case study here.

Currently, CFE’s work focuses on supporting the LSC in the lead up to the transition of Train to Gain brokerage to an RDA led service from April 2009. • Technical support and user guidance to the nine regional LSC website development teams
  • Sharing website best practice among the nine English regions
  • Compilation of a national Training Resources Catalogue
  • Revision of a suite of national training modules to ensure they reflect current policy and are fit for purpose
  • Development of new broker training materials in response to identified CPD requirements
  • Secretariat function for the Website and Training Resources Task and Finish Groups
