Yorkshire and Humber East Lifelong Learning Network
Evaluation

Yorkshire and Humber East Lifelong Learning Network (YHELLN) commissioned CFE to develop a series of key performance indicators against which to track the development and impact of activities over the life of the programme. In addition, CFE will undertake a formative evaluation to assess progress within key work strands identified in YHELLN’s business plan.

The formative evaluation will be conducted over two academic years, 07-08 and 08-09, and will consider:

  • the extent to which YHELLN has achieved its aims, objectives and outcomes;
  • how lessons learned during the course of the initiative, including effective practice, are captured and disseminated both for the continuous development of the network, and to inform future developments in the region;
  • the impact of the work of YHELLN on different groups of stakeholders in the short, medium and long-term.
The evaluation will include primary research with YHELLN staff, network partners and regional stakeholders, and secondary research in the form of desk-based document reviews.
