Location: University of Leicester
Date: Wed, 8 September

CFE is hosting a seminar with Loughborough University to explore the extent and nature of demand for placement students and interns from small and medium sized enterprises at the annual ASET conference.

ASET is the professional body for placement and employability staff and represents over 1300 academic and administrative placement staff at more than 80 Higher Education Institutions. The annual conference attracts delegates from all over the UK and Europe to hear keynote speakers and attend workshops on the current issues in the sector of work-based and placement learning and employability. This year’s conference will also hear from Aaron Porter, President of the National Union of Students and Jane Artess from the Higher Education Career Services Unit.

CFE’s workshop entitled `The demand for placement students and interns from SMEs in the East Midlands` will draw on its survey Generation Crunch, of over 500 employers in the East Midlands.
