The future agenda for higher level skills and work-based learning

CFE is this year’s sponsor of the UVAC annual conference. The two day conference will focus on the policies of the Coalition Government in relation to higher level skills and work-based learning and what businesses and employees want and need from higher education.

The conference will include examples of innovative design and delivery of higher level work-based learning and will cover the following:

  • An independent perspective on the role of government in workforce development from James Kewin, Managing Director of CFE
  • The role of HE in the economy and business from Professor John Coyne, Vice Chancellor, University of Derby 
  • The HE funding system from David Sweeney, Director of Research, Innovation and Skills, HEFCE
