Governance systems fail to meet the needs of disadvantaged

Current governance systems are failing to meet the needs of people living in disadvantaged areas.

New and emerging governance structures in England, Scotland and Wales need a more integrated approach to tackling worklessness and other economic problems facing deprived areas according to research by David North, published by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation's Transforming Places programme.
